Six Individuals Detained Following €12 Million Robbery on Gold Processing Laboratory in the French Republic

A team of six suspects using high-powered firearms used explosive devices to break into a precious metals processing plant located in Lyon, resulting in minor injuries to five staff members during what appears to be the latest high-profile broad daylight robbery to hit the country.

The audacious robbery took place on the afternoon of Thursday, with officers quickly arresting the individuals believed responsible and recovering the stolen goods assessed at around 12 million euros (£10.5M), officials reported.

Five staff members of Laboratoires Pourquery sustained minor injuries from the blast, and three of them were transported to hospital for assessment, the regional prefecture announced. A total of twenty-eight staff were inside the facility when the perpetrators raided.

Those arrested, believed to be experienced criminals, were detained a brief time later in the adjacent municipality of Vénissieux, authorities revealed.

A woman involved who took part in the heist was likewise arrested, according to law enforcement.
