Manchester United Set to Sign Germany Forward Lea Schüller away from Bayern Munich
Manchester United are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific Germany forward Lea Schüller in a permanent move from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
A Marquee Signing for United
Schüller, who has half a year left on her contract, has been a consistent goal-getter for both club and country. Having netted over 100 goals for the German giants and scored 54 times in 82 appearances for Germany. Her arrival is viewed as a major signing for the Women’s Super League side.
Departure from Bayern has been anticipated after she was seen holding back emotions while applauding the club's supporters following a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
Reports in late December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was set to lose one of its top strikers. According to multiple sources, all the paperwork for the move are now finalised.
Reliable Goal Threat to Strengthen the Attack
The experienced striker's arrival is expected to provide a major uplift to United’s attacking options. She has been highly reliable in front of goal in Germany’s top flight.
- For seven straight seasons, including the most recent campaign, she reached at least a double-digit tally of league goals.
- She claimed the Golden Boot in 2021-22 season with 16 goals.

The acquisition of Schüller’s signature coincides with a period when United seem to be building positive momentum.
