Actor Refutes Anti-Vaxxer Views After Voicing Contentious Covid Film
The acclaimed actor has given his narration to a feature-length documentary that casts doubt on the safety of immunizations and commends one-time health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.
The Documentary's Provocative Origins
Titled "Plague of Corruption," the film is based on a bestselling book written by a controversial scientist, who became famous during the health crisis for allegations that Covid was caused by a problematic version of the flu vaccine.
The book's writing partner, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with conspiracy-prone media personality Alex Jones. The producer took to social media celebrating Neeson's participation in the film.
An Unequivocal Rebuttal
The team of the actor have released a comment firmly refuting implications that he supports anti-vaccine beliefs.
"Many recognize that misconduct may occur within the medical sector, but that must not be equated to rejection of vaccines," the comment states. "Liam never has been, and cannot be described as, against vaccines. His long work with the global charity underscores his enduring support for global immunisation initiatives."
The statement added that the actor was not involved in crafting the film's narrative and that concerns about its claims are best addressed to the filmmakers.
Major Assertions In the Feature
As presented, the voiceover read by Neeson includes several provocative claims:
- It states that pro-immunization voices have demanded "unconditional submission" to public institutions.
- It posits that "research has become deeply politicized."
- RFK Jr is interviewed claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
- It also criticizes Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused psychological harm that cost thousands of lives.
- Regarding the immunizations, it cites a report that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "risky trials."
Historical Background and Current Disputes
The film includes a past television report about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the topic of a correction by the corporation for unbalanced reporting.
Recently, RFK Jr instructed the CDC to change its official position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is also referenced in the documentary, contrary to a fresh analysis from the WHO reiterating no evidence has been found.
A Past Statement of Endorsement
Contrasting the film's narrative, Neeson has formerly shown strong support for vaccines in his position as a Unicef global ambassador.
Two years ago, he called vaccines as "a remarkable triumph," noting that "The conversation about vaccines in recent years has overlooked how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."
"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's narration stating, "This marks not the finish of our story. Rather, it is the dawn of a different phase."
